The Rotary 'Run For Mercy' 5K will take place this Saturday in Columbus, supporting local charity efforts (all ages can join).
Organizers say the run will bring the community together for a fun and healthy activity.
Gospel Roads IV concert will take place soon in Columbus to benefit the Salvation Army, and local gospel acts will perform + raising funds for community projects.
Blues Traveler will perform at RiverCenter for The Performing Arts on Sunday, May 3.

Columbus State University will hold its 27th Annual Guitar Symposium on Feb.
28 and March 1 at the Joyce & Henry Schwob School of Music. The two-day event features alumni Leonela Alejandro ’23 & Dragoș Ilie ’19, guest artist David Russell, masterclasses, and competitions with a livestream option online.
Whitney Hall, a Columbus State natural sciences master's graduate, credits hands-on research & faculty mentoring for inspiring her doctoral studies focused on mammal habitats and climate change.
Hall began her journey after working abroad and is now studying at Trent University in Ontario.
Alexis Smith and Sumer Thomas (Piedmont representatives) explained signs of heart problems in women and stressed the importance of regular health checks for early detection.
Columbus-based Aflac inked a seven-year deal with AMB Sports + Entertainment as the front of kit sponsor for NWSL Atlanta 2028 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with matchday activations and a retail donation campaign to benefit the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
