- ➤ Jermaine Hernandez was shot in the finger during a traffic stop on Manchester Highway when officers fired on his 2008 BMW 335-I after mistaking its backfire for gunshots; a grand jury indicted the officers on aggravated assault and battery while they remained on unpaid administrative leave.
