CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Nine individuals were arrested by Columbus Police after drugs, $1,113 in cash, marijuana worth $16,265, and 10 firearms, including two stolen ones, were found at a residence on the 700 block of Sorrel Court on Sunday & they face 96 charges & are documented gang members. WTVM
- ➤ Daequavian Solomon was found guilty on all counts for fatally shooting Circle K worker Dontrell Williams during a robbery at the intersection of Floyd and Forrest roads in September 2019—his sentencing is scheduled for May 1. WTVM
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Parents in the Muscogee County School District have criticized a bullying policy that only takes action after three reports, citing roughly 143 cases this year (district officials explain that a tribunal hearing takes about 10 days) and saying the delay leaves children anxious at school. WTVM

- ➤ Postal workers across Georgia are rallying — including in Columbus — against proposed changes that would shift the Postal Service under the Commerce Department. The National Association of Letter Carriers will hold a rally at 3615 Manchester Expressway outside the Courtyard Marriott on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., as workers join others in protest. WTVM
