- ➤ Columbus police are searching for 18-year-old Tre’Von Griffin (185 pounds, 5'11") who was last seen in the 7900 block of Nature Trail at 9 p.m. on February 23 wearing black pants, a black sweatshirt and Jordans. WTVM
- ➤ Columbus police investigated a shooting on 10th Street today that injured one person as officers took a suspect into custody within the hour while the victim is treated at Piedmont Columbus Regional (official details remain limited). News 3

- ➤ Columbus State University is launching the CSU Gives virtual fundraising campaign in honor of Cody the Cougar turning 55; alumni and friends can donate $5 or more starting April 8 to support academic, athletic and student success projects+the celebration on April 9 at Cougar Field will include free treats, photo opportunities and softball games. - ➤ Some Columbus residents reported delays in renewing their SNAP benefits and had difficulty reaching case workers, leaving them without food assistance. Officials say the rise in SNAP applications and a shortage of staff are prompting plans to upgrade technology. WTVM
- ➤ Senate Bill 68 passed the state House and Senate and now awaits Governor Brian Kemp’s signature as it seeks to reform civil lawsuits and set a higher standard for suing businesses. One Columbus mom said the bill will hurt her family’s effort to get money to care for her son, who suffered a traumatic brain injury after an accident in August 2023. WTVM
