- ➤ Miracle Riders announced they will start the 'Pony Expressway Ride' on May 2 and travel through 38 states until May 23 to raise money for Columbus State University’s School of Nursing. The group has raised $600,000 since 2021 and aims to reach a $1 million fundraising goal by sending letters from Columbus to loved ones across the country. WTVM

- ➤ Backstage compiled a list of casting calls for movies and TV shows in Columbus that gives details on lead and supporting roles—such as those in short films and feature films—with average hourly pay and casting locations to help local actors find opportunities. The list covers projects like 'Remnant' and 'Mary Magdalene' as well as some nationwide roles. WSB-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Norfolk Southern began critical repairs on Columbus railroad crossings that caused road closures on Joy Rd, Conner Rd, and Aldridge Rd on March 26 while roads on Andrews Rd and Brennan Rd are closed today and closures on Shep St, Ace Way Dr, Oakview Ave, 10th Ave, 5th Ave, and 3rd Ave will occur through early April—some closures may last up to three days. Officials advise drivers to choose alternate routes. WTVM
- ➤ Georgia legislators approved HB 112 on March 26th — the bill now awaits Gov. Brian Kemp’s signature to unlock up to $500 in tax rebates from a $1 billion plan. If signed, the measure will mark the third consecutive year of rebates for taxpayers. Columbus CEO
