- ➤ Two men, a father aged 58 and his 29 year old son from Waverly Hall, died when an EF1 tornado caused a tree to fall on their golf cart at Bull Creek Golf Course on Sunday + their celebration of life will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, at 2 p.m. on May 3 with a GoFundMe to help their family. - ➤ Police are investigating a deadly shooting near Colorado St and Rigdon Rd in Columbus—one person died—while the Violent Crimes Unit leads the investigation. WTVM
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Four local legislators met at South Columbus Library to update the community after Georgia’s legislative session ended—discussing the budget that funds Columbus State University’s space science facility, the Juvenile Justice Center, and a veteran education center.
