- ➤ Pinnacle Financial Partners announced plans to expand its uptown operations after merging with Synovus by leasing 31,000 sqft at Synovus Place along the riverfront. Construction will begin soon and the new workspace for 125 tech team members is expected in the first quarter. WTVM

- ➤ Actor VJ Roberts and Kanise Wiggins shared details on an upcoming film premiere & the 5th annual Juneteenth celebration that will take place in Columbus. The events will honor local heritage and spotlight community talent. WTVM
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Calvary Christian School named Matt Ward as its new varsity baseball coach and assistant coach Wade Pirkle will join him. Ward, who coached at St. Anne Pacelli and Valley High, and Pirkle (a Hardaway High graduate) bring local and college experience to lead the school’s rich baseball tradition. WTVM
- ➤ Nathaniel Petallar, a Columbus State graduate, said his spring internship at the governor’s office and Thayer Scholarship ignited his legal career goals and public service ambitions, and he plans to build on these experiences before applying to law school. Columbus State University
