- ➤ Columbus Police are asking for help finding 16-year-old Asia Singletary, last seen on June 6 at 10:00 a.m. near the 1300 block of Celeste Drive while wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and carrying a pink duffel bag with a unicorn on it, and anyone with information should call 911 + the CPD Special Victims Unit at 706-225-3449 + Detective Chris Whitehead at 706-225-4278. - ➤ On June 8th, a Columbus man, 49-year-old Richard 'Rick' Morton, was arrested by the Special Operations Unit on charges including trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon—his arrest comes after he had been wanted for drug trafficking. WTVM

- ➤ Columbus State University announced plans to build a $22.2 million center for robotics, engineering and space science on its main campus today — the facility will expand the Coca-Cola Space Science Center and involve a partnership with the Muscogee County School District and local industry while receiving $12.2 million from the state and additional federal, private and local funds.
