Miss Georgia contestants sang the national anthem at the Columbus Clingstones game last night to kick off Crown the Peach Night.

They arrived Thursday and will rehearse and interview at the River Center for the Performing Arts as they prepare for preliminary competitions June 17‑19.

The sixth annual Parking Lot Praise Music Festival will be set for Saturday, June 20 at Woodruff Park at 1000 Bay Avenue.

The free event offers food trucks, speakers and a lineup including Grammy-nominated Canton Jones to promote unity among the community.
