Columbus officers responded after noon Saturday to a scene on Reese Road near the Macon Road intersection—detectives and a coroner’s representative arrived while officials have not released further details.

On Saturday, police said a man was fatally shot near Macon Road and Reese Road, and the Columbus coroner identified the victim as 51-year-old Donnie Hand while notifying his next of kin as the investigation began.
