- ➤ A motorcyclist was injured on Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle near the 1500 block of 14th Avenue, and Columbus Police are investigating the accident as a report was received around 3:48 p.m.—residents are advised to avoid the area. News 3
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Sigma Stretch Film of Georgia will invest $39M in Columbus by expanding a 75,000-square-foot facility and building a new 75,000-square-foot warehouse—this expansion will create 100 new full-time jobs across manufacturing, maintenance, quality assurance, logistics, and administration. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Today, Piedmont Healthcare opened its first QuickCare clinic in Columbus inside Walmart on Whittlesey Boulevard at Columbus Park Crossing—offering walk-in and scheduled care for minor illnesses, injuries and wellness needs—and the clinic will operate Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. WTVM
- ➤ Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System has rescheduled its face-to-face town hall for veterans to July 30 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST at the clinic on River Road (6910 River Road) where veterans, family members, caregivers and community partners will hear updates and share feedback. News 3
