ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Authorities confirmed that 49-year-old Michael Cody, a subcontractor from Edison, lost his life on Wednesday when a roller compactor flipped near Rivercrest Drive and pinned him underneath its roll bar — his next of kin has been notified. News 3
FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ Synovus Financial reported its Q2 results that ended June 30 with net income available to common shareholders of $206.3 million and adjusted earnings per share of $1.48. The bank saw a 60% rise in funded loan production and improved credit quality, and CEO Kevin Blair said these gains — along with lower credit loss provisions — led it to raise its full-year earnings guidance.
