- ➤ Goodwill of the Southern Rivers is expanding its services with a new opportunity center on S. Lumpkin Road in South Columbus—a center designed to offer free education, job training and career coaching to residents including those in the Fort Benning community. The center will also provide bilingual support, veteran resources and workshops on financial wellness and digital literacy while planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony. WTVM
- ➤ An 11 year old boy named Eli Chavez at Evangel Church in Columbus wrote a plea on a dry erase board during Sunday School asking for donations for a blind lady who needed $1,200 for eye surgery—he collected $400 that day. Donations quickly continued so that by the next morning enough funds were raised for her successful surgery. News 3

- ➤ A Columbus family mourned a 21-year-old who was fatally struck by gunfire at his home on Stone Way Drive early Tuesday morning when attackers fired about 25 shots—detectives are asking anyone near Warm Springs Road for help as the suspect remains at large. WTVM
- ➤ Columbus police are asking for the public's help to locate a 16-year-old teen runaway who was last seen on July 18 in the 30 block of Mason Drive — she has a mini fro and was wearing an unknown colored headband. WTVM

- ➤ Columbus resident Judge Benjamin Land was sworn in as a Georgia Supreme Court justice today when Governor Brian Kemp delivered the oath (administering the ceremony at the courthouse). WTVM
