Columbus Technical College opened a new $12M Puckett Center training facility today (named after a local Medal of Honor hero) to offer hands-on career training for students.
Education expert Lance Izumi said high school students who gain work experience get an edge in college admissions + job success.
His advice comes as local back-to-school events offer practical opportunities for Columbus students to prepare for future careers.
