Columbus police say 17-year-old pregnant Keianna McFadden was shot at a house party near Juniper Avenue early Sunday and died on Friday at about 4:08 p.m. after being taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional and then airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital—an 18-year-old female was injured by gunfire in a nearby incident that is under investigation.

Councilor Joanne Cogle filed her intent to run for mayor on Friday morning with the Muscogee County Elections and Registrations office—after weeks of speculation about her plan.
