  • Demolition is underway on 3rd Avenue in Uptown for a planned 28-court pickleball complex that received full funding from grants and donations. City leaders and the Columbus GA Pickleball Association say construction will start before the end of the year and the facility will open early 2026—expected to generate over $11 million in economic impact and support more than 60 jobs.  News 3

  • Jansen Tidmore, the new president and CEO of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce, hosted two meet-and-greet events Tuesday at the Chamber offices in the old YMCA building on 11th Street — he had been on the job for less than a month after coming from Colorado to replace Jerald Mitchell.  News 3

  • Columbus police are searching for 65-year-old David Wesley Cannon — last seen near Maryland Court on Aug. 6 wearing a navy blue shirt, black pants, and a black hat while in a wheelchair — and ask anyone with details to call 911.  News 3
