  • A Columbus startup called Desktop Pilot — a family-run company — is offering affordable flight simulation hardware and real aviation training so more residents can learn to fly. The company aims to broaden access to pilot training across the area.  WTVM

  • Three people were injured early Tuesday in a Columbus shooting—authorities are investigating the incident.  WTVM
  • Columbus Police asked for the public’s help to locate 17-year-old Savannah Kelly, a Black male last seen near the 900 block of Farr Road on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. wearing green pants plus a pair of Jordans.  News 3
  • Columbus police are searching for missing 17-year-old Marius Griffith Jr.—last seen near the 900 block of Farr Road on August 23 at 11 a.m. wearing green pants and Jordan brand shoes—and ask anyone with information to call 911 or contact Cpl. Robert Ward using 7065878404.  WTVM

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Columbus City Council voted Tuesday night to move the Muscogee County Jail from 10th Street to 11th Avenue due to safety issues—Sheriff Greg said the estimated cost is between $450 million and $480 million. No timeline for construction was provided.  WTVM
