- ➤ Piedmont Columbus Regional honored MCSO investigators Timothy Darden and Maximus Raniero and CPD Corporal Colby Saunders today for quickly aiding occupants trapped in a rollover crash at a Whitesville Road convenience store—with a ceremony set for 9 a.m. today at the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office to recognize their swift actions. BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ JS Link America Inc., a subsidiary of a Korean company, will invest $223 million in a new 130,000 square-foot facility at Muscogee Technology Park in Columbus that will create over 520 jobs and produce rare-earth permanent magnets for industries such as automobiles, wind turbines, and consumer electronics. The facility will begin operations in late 2027—strengthening Georgia's role in the U.S. supply chain and supporting local job growth. WSB-TV

- ➤ Columbus police are searching for a 13 year old boy named Lamar Rogers who was reported missing last week and was last seen on the 100 block of Wickham Drive on August 22 wearing a black hoodie with the LOADED LIFESTYLE logo, has brown eyes, black hair and weighs 140 pounds. WTVM
- ➤ Columbus police are seeking help to find runaway teen Claudia Rhodes, last seen Sept. 2 near Double Churches Road at 5:00 a.m.—she is 5ft 4in, 157 lbs, with blonde hair, blue eyes and wearing a green bonnet, black shirt and black and white checkered pants. WTVM

- ➤ On Tuesday night, a Columbus lottery player won $30K when a ticket from Circle K at 5448 Forrest Road matched four white balls and the Mega Ball in the Mega Millions drawing—officials confirmed the win after a 3X Megaplier tripled the original $10K prize. WTVM
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Sen. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock announced $900,000 in federal funding today through HRSA to fight Georgia's opioid crisis, with $300,000 set aside for Columbus' New Horizons Community Service Board along with similar grants for statewide programs.
