ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Danny King, 51, died Friday at the construction site of the new Muscogee County courthouse on Tenth Street — he was found unresponsive at 3:05 p.m. at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown, and contractors Gilbane, Inc. and Freeman and Associates closed the site on Monday but will resume work Tuesday with counselors available while his body is sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy to determine if a personal medical condition was involved. - ➤ Columbus Police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash late Sunday morning near Victory Drive, 4th Street, and 10th Avenue—at least one person has been confirmed dead as the investigation continues. WTVM

- ➤ A South Korean magnet company announced plans to build a plant in Columbus, and local officials said the recent ICE raid at a Hyundai-LG construction site near Savannah has not affected the project; Choose Columbus is already helping by providing local contractor lists and visa support for workers + the project is set to start on a 46-acre site at Muscogee Technology Park and will be active by the end of 2027.
