- ➤ Columbus will host the first We Care Vet Fair at the Civic Center on Friday, September 12, where over 100 free service providers will support veterans and soldiers transitioning out of the Army—offering VA claims, health care, eye exams, caregiver programs and hiring opportunities. - ➤ Columbus police said Friday night that 18-year-old Kalielah Davis was fatally shot in the head while sitting in a parked vehicle on Bay Avenue in a random act, and Deputy Chief of Investigative Services (Matt Blackstock) said officers are investigating the incident after the suspect fled on foot.
