- ➤ New Horizons Behavioral Health will host its annual Recovery on the River event on Sept 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Woodruff Riverfront Park to celebrate National Recovery Month—this free event is the final stop on the Georgia Recovers Bus Tour and will offer the first 200 guests a free t-shirt and $10 food truck voucher. - ➤ The Columbus Fire and EMS Department is mourning after two firefighters died by suicide—one on July 10 and the other on Sept. 3—and the department is working with local churches and mental health professionals to expand support resources for first responders.
