- ➤ On September 18, the Columbus State University Alumni Association honored 13 alumni for outstanding service and contributions to the university and community—recognizing achievements in leadership, volunteerism, and professional excellence. The awards, including the Thomas Y. Whitley Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Frank D. - ➤ A metro instructor in Columbus plans to lead a group exercise session to break the record for the most senior citizens working out at the same time. He will invite local seniors to join the event and aims to set a new record. WSB-TV
