- ➤ Local businesses in the Chattahoochee Valley are offering Veterans Day freebies to veterans on November 11—selected venues will provide free meals and other tokens of thanks. WTVM
- ➤ Businesses in Columbus are offering free meals and treats to honor veterans today on Veterans Day—offers include a free Pancake Combo from IHOP, an entrée from Applebee’s, and a Texas Roadhouse meal voucher among other specials for veterans and active-duty military. These deals come from a lineup of local restaurants and cafés across the Chattahoochee Valley. WTVM
- ➤ Texas Roadhouse in Columbus will distribute free meal vouchers to veterans and active military today from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The vouchers cover one of 10 entrees, two sides, and a drink — valid until May 31, 2026 — and require proof of service. News 3

- ➤ Kenneth LeRoy Funderburk, a prominent Phenix City attorney and entrepreneur who practiced law for over 60 years, died peacefully at Columbus Hospice House on Nov. 8. - ➤ Georgia’s state net tax collections for October reached about $2.71 billion — an increase of $175.9 million from last year, with individual income and sales taxes driving gains while corporate collections dropped.
