Columbus Synovus is merging with Pinnacle Financial Partners and the ballpark may be renamed Pinnacle Park if the rebranding goes ahead.

Today, the Technical College System of Georgia announced that its college police departments serving 88 campuses in 22 colleges have earned full state certification through the Georgia Law Enforcement Certification Program — the first time a statewide college system has received this accreditation. The three-year certification confirms that the departments meet more than 100 rigorous standards to ensure safe and effective law enforcement on campuses.
